1929 deco
We named this pattern 1929 for the steady rise of the stock market and then the sudden fall. (We may update it to 2008.) These sets are pressed in solid brass, using the same techniques of almost 100 years ago. They are available in unlacquered polished brass that will obtain a soft patina over time and polished nickel. they are also offered with and without key holes. These sets are too narrow for pre-bored doors but will work on non-bored doors with latches or mortise locks (existing or new)

Zelda art deco set 900710
The original Zelda pattern dates to the 1920's. We remade the dies and reproduce the sets using the same procedures of over a century ago. During the depression of the 1920-1930's, hardware was pressed to conserve on brass. A side advantage was that pressing created much crisper details than casting. Our sets are available in unlacquered polished brass, polished nickel, oil rubbed bronze; and with and without key holes. The back plates measure 1 3/4 x 6 3/4 inches. These sets are compatible with antique locks and can also be used with modern latches on doors that are not pre-bored.
